Adem\u00e1s de estas estructuras y funciones, existen numerosos hechos sorprendentes sobre nuestro cuerpo de los que no somos conscientes; empezando por la sangre, \u00fanico tejido conectivo fluido que juega un papel importante en el transporte de nutrientes, gases respiratorios, hormonas, en el mantenimiento y regulaci\u00f3n de la temperatura corporal, pH y otros procesos de termorregulaci\u00f3n, pues es seis veces m\u00e1s espesa que el agua, y cada gota de sangre contiene alrededor de 250 millones de c\u00e9lulas.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif;\">La c\u00e9lula m\u00e1s larga del cuerpo humano es la neurona motora, la c\u00e9lula m\u00e1s grande es el \u00f3vulo, y la c\u00e9lula m\u00e1s peque\u00f1a es el espermatozoide. El hueso m\u00e1s largo es el f\u00e9mur, hueso del muslo, y el hueso m\u00e1s peque\u00f1o es el estribo, uno de los tres huesos que se ubican en el o\u00eddo medio. El hueso m\u00e1s duro es la mand\u00edbula. La piel es el \u00f3rgano m\u00e1s grande y la gl\u00e1ndula pineal es el \u00f3rgano m\u00e1s peque\u00f1o. La lengua humana es el m\u00fasculo m\u00e1s fuerte y los m\u00fasculos externos del ojo son los m\u00e1s r\u00e1pidos y est\u00e1n principalmente involucrados en el movimiento constante, el parpadeo y el ajuste de las posiciones del ojo.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif;\">Una persona promedio respira 20.000 veces al d\u00eda. Cuanto m\u00e1s profundo respiramos, m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido se vuelve el metabolismo. Nuestro apetito depende de nuestro estilo de respiraci\u00f3n. Las respiraciones lentas ayudan a aumentar nuestra esperanza de vida. Bostezar nos ayuda a inhalar m\u00e1s ox\u00edgeno en nuestros pulmones. Los pulmones son la parte importante del sistema respiratorio humano y el \u00fanico \u00f3rgano del cuerpo humano que puede flotar en el agua; por lo general, bostezamos cuando nuestro cerebro env\u00eda un mensaje a nuestro sistema sensorial al detectar escasez de ox\u00edgeno. Las u\u00f1as de manos crecen m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido que las de pies y la u\u00f1a del dedo medio crece m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido que las otras u\u00f1as (Reymond, 2022).<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif;\">Las orejas humanas nunca dejan de crecer porque est\u00e1n compuestos principalmente de c\u00e9lulas de cart\u00edlago, que contin\u00faa dividi\u00e9ndose con la edad, de tal manera que contin\u00faan creciendo a raz\u00f3n de un cuarto de mil\u00edmetro por a\u00f1o. Los dientes humanos son tan fuertes como los dientes de tibur\u00f3n y alrededor del 99% del contenido total de calcio en el cuerpo est\u00e1 presente en los dientes.
