Brindan retroalimentaci\u00f3n sobre el art\u00edculo, sugieren mejoras y hacen una recomendaci\u00f3n al editor sobre si aceptar, rechazar o solicitar cambios en el art\u00edculo. La decisi\u00f3n final siempre recae en el editor, pero los revisores juegan un papel importante en la determinaci\u00f3n del resultado. Por lo general, el editor de la revista invita a los revisores a realizar una revisi\u00f3n. Los editores generalmente seleccionan investigadores que son expertos en la misma \u00e1rea tem\u00e1tica que el art\u00edculo. Sin embargo, si cree que ser\u00eda un buen \u00e1rbitro para una revista espec\u00edfica, puede ofrecerse como voluntario para revisar en nuestro Centro de revisores. En la secci\u00f3n \u201cVoluntario para revisar\u201d del Centro de revisores, puede buscar las revistas de su elecci\u00f3n y hacer clic en \u201cRevisar revista\u201d para indicar su inter\u00e9s, teniendo en cuenta que primero debe completar su perfil de revisor.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif;\">Cabe mencionar que Elsevier encuesta regularmente a los revisores para obtener una mejor comprensi\u00f3n de sus necesidades y c\u00f3mo lo est\u00e1n haciendo cuando se trata de satisfacerlas. Los hallazgos del programa de comentarios de los revisores ayudan a mejorar la experiencia de revisi\u00f3n. Por ejemplo, el 90% de los revisores dijeron que les gustar\u00eda poder ver la decisi\u00f3n final y los comentarios de otros revisores en un art\u00edculo. El programa de comentarios de los revisores supervisa el desempe\u00f1o de Elsevier desde la perspectiva de los revisores de sus revistas. Ciertamente esta editorial acad\u00e9mica holandesa reconoce la valiosa contribuci\u00f3n de los revisores al progreso de la ciencia, mediante su programa de reconocimiento de revisores, ya que Elsevier tiene como objetivo involucrar a los revisores y recompensarlos por el trabajo que realizan.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif;\">El programa presenta varios proyectos y experimentos: Centro de revisores: El tiempo, la energ\u00eda y la experiencia que los \u00e1rbitros aportan para validar el trabajo de sus pares es vital para el avance de la comunidad acad\u00e9mica. Reviewer Hub de Elsevier proporciona a los revisores un medio para mostrar sus esfuerzos y recibir cr\u00e9dito por su trabajo. La plataforma ofrece a los revisores una p\u00e1gina de perfil personalizada, que documenta su historial de revisi\u00f3n y los certificados de revisi\u00f3n.
