Favorece la reducci\u00f3n del colesterol sangu\u00edneo total y sobre todo el colesterol malo conocido como el LDL existen dos variedades de almendra, las que son de cascara blanda y las que son de cascara dura, su uso tradicionalmente es en la preparaci\u00f3n de postres como los turrones, mazapanes, tartas y en helados dulces, el fruto en si es de color canela que envuelve a la almendra con una cascara exterior, por lo que la parte comestible de la almendra solo es en un 40% aproximadamente.<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"has_ma_el_bg_slider elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-73a18dad elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default jltma-glass-effect-no\" data-id=\"73a18dad\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"has_ma_el_bg_slider elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-35312203 jltma-glass-effect-no\" data-id=\"35312203\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8d0668d jltma-glass-effect-no elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"8d0668d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Del mismo modo, su consumo es favorable en las etapas del crecimiento y desarrollo de los infantes y adolescentes porque la leche de almendras aporta potasio y calcio, inclusive su consumo se ha relacionado a la reducci\u00f3n del c\u00e1ncer de mama, por su contenido de vitamina E y los polifenoles contribuyen\u00a0 a la protecci\u00f3n del organismo al da\u00f1o oxidativo que lleva al envejecimiento y a otras enfermedades, su consumo regular de la almendra tambi\u00e9n previene la hipertensi\u00f3n ayudando a bajar la presi\u00f3n sangu\u00ednea que ocurre por la deficiencia de magnesio, mejora el sistema inmune y las funciones cerebrales.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">El investigador Dr. Richard Mattes de la Universidad Purdue (Illinois, EE. UU.) en su trabajo presentado en la reuni\u00f3n anual de la Sociedad Americana de Nutrici\u00f3n, analizaron los efectos del consumo de 250 Kcal de almendras durante un mes en 137 personas en riesgo de padecer diabetes tipo II.
