font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; color: #000080;\">La Mu\u00f1a (<i>Minthostachys mollis<\/i>) es una planta arbustiva originaria de los Andes peruanos y muy utilizada desde tiempos ancestrales para combatir enfermedades respiratorias, problemas estomacales e inclusive para el reumatismo, dadas sus propiedades antis\u00e9pticas, analg\u00e9sicas y antiespasm\u00f3dicas.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> La mu\u00f1a<\/span><b> se<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> consume tradicionalmente en infusi\u00f3n, parte de las propiedades medicinales podr\u00edan ser atribuidas a su alta capacidad antioxidante, los casos de gastritis leve pueden ser tratados \u00fanicamente con agua de mu\u00f1a, tom\u00e1ndola en infusi\u00f3n durante 15 d\u00edas y sin necesidad de medicamentos, explic\u00f3 el doctor en Farmacia y Bioqu\u00edmica Mario Carhuapoma Yance, quien trabaja en validar cient\u00edficamente la sabidur\u00eda popular respecto a los beneficios de esta planta<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00b9<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La planta de mu\u00f1a es un arbusto que se caracteriza por ser frondoso, tener peque\u00f1as flores blancas y medir entre 80 y 120 cm. de altura, mejor conocido como\u00a0mu\u00f1a\u00a0<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">o\u00a0<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">menta de los Andes<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0es nativo de algunos pa\u00edses de Am\u00e9rica del Sur<\/span><b>,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> entre los que destaca Per\u00fa, suele crecer en terrenos sobre los 2700 hasta los 3400 msnm. gracias a que tiene un sabor similar al de la menta,\u00a0es muy utilizado para condimentar alimentos como chupes y guisos\u00b2.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tambi\u00e9n se ha extendido mucho la creencia de que esta planta es rica en minerales\u00a0como el calcio, el f\u00f3sforo y el hierro, as\u00ed como tambi\u00e9n la consideran como fuente de retinol que es una sustancia derivada de l<span style=\"color: #000000;\">a\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/mejorconsalud.as.com\/que-es-vitamina-a\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">vitamina A<\/span><\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">,<\/span>\u00a0que promueve la producci\u00f3n de col\u00e1geno y aclara las manchas d\u00e9rmicas, algo similar se recomienda para el mal de altura en los viajes largos que realizan las personas, se toman en infusi\u00f3n para reponer las fuerzas, tratando de aliviar los s\u00edntomas asociados a este trastorno.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">debido a que estos podr\u00edan provocar efectos no deseados o desconocidos por el consumidor, presentando un espectro m\u00e1s amplio de aplicaciones por ejemplo, estudios en aceite esencial de mu\u00f1a han comprobado su propiedad natural como antimic\u00f3tico, de acuerdo al resultado obtenido en el caso del hongo C\u00e1ndida albicans; y su actividad antibacteriana, demostrada en su aplicaci\u00f3n contra la bacteria Helicobacter pylori.
