El inesperado colapso de la industria pesquera peruana desat\u00f3 parte de la tremenda destrucci\u00f3n actual en la regi\u00f3n del Amazonas. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">La verdad fue que la mayor\u00eda de los millones de toneladas de pescado exportados por el Per\u00fa no constitu\u00edan un alimento para los seres humanos, sino que se los convert\u00eda en harina de pescado como forraje para el ganado vacuno que se encontraba en pastizales que fueron formados a consecuencia de la tala de la selva del Amazonas en el norte de Brasil.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Cuando la industria pesquera se derrumb\u00f3, la demanda hacia el frijol soya aument\u00f3 a fin de proporcionar alimento alternativo para el ganado vacuno. El gobierno brasile\u00f1o foment\u00f3 el establecimiento de grandes cultivos comerciales de frijol soya en el Brasil meridional, contribuyendo as\u00ed a la destrucci\u00f3n de las selvas subtropicales lluviosas restantes. <\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; color: #0000ff;\">El fomento y subsidio a los grandes monocultivos de frijol soya, no alimentaron a los brasile\u00f1os hambrientos, sino que engordaron a las vacas de la comunidad europea. Esta cultura campesina, su agricultura y cientos de miles de personas que perdieron sus tierras de cultivo, fueron destruidas por la pol\u00edtica de fomento de cultivos comerciales.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">El debilitamiento de la capa de ozono y las zonas pesqueras peruanas, son dos signos de advertencia para nosotros: las cosas pueden no acontecer en forma lenta y predecible. Cuando se producen lo hacen inesperadamente y dan lugar a respuestas con impactos negativos en todo el mundo. Lo mismo sucedi\u00f3 con la selva lluviosa. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Est\u00e1 siendo destruida con mucha rapidez, sin necesidad de talarla o quemarla completamente antes de que desaparezca del todo.
